The inevitable happened as all things changed. It was small at first. Our friends and family started acting differently. They became short of temper, smaller in mind, angry, and aggressive. It wasn't until the new God was born when time seemed to quicken. She was born a mortal, but once she and her guardians accepted the gifts, the world itself shifted. The angry, hateful people started to change, look different, and soon we could not coexist; soon they would start to hunt us. We would call them the Fallen.
As if on command, a traveling dimension we have interacted with before, phased into our space, depositing travelers and kidnapping as many. These travelers had a natural aversion to the army of Fallen. They also weren't the kindest to the soft fleshy humans. You have met one before, accidentally slipping from their space into ours. We called them vampires, werewolves, things. Some of them carried their own infections. Turning some humans into what we termed hybrids. Hybrids, if we could still reason with them. Dead if we couldn't.
