The Adaptable Warrior takes the concept of self care and gives functionally attainable options for victory even while in the depths of crisis when it feels like the only way out is to go six feet under. Every one of the one hundred attainable victories found in its pages are designed to be manageable with minimal effort from the comfort and security of your home.

The Adaptable Warrior was born out of frustration with the unattainability of the current self care curriculum. How the heck does one go on a 20 minute power walk when getting out of bed and walking to the bathroom feels like you ran a marathon? I felt it needed to be challenged to be accessible for the darkest moments of crisis and we need to be celebrating the "intentional hand squeeze moments of a comatose patient" in the "looks fine" population.

The design of The Adaptable Warrior has been tactically crafted to allow the reader to choose what they have the capacity for that day. The attainable victories appear on the right-hand pages while the bolded benefits and more in-depth benefit blurbs reside on the left-hand pages. Along with the calming and easy to read layout, The Adaptable Warrior includes twelve hand drawn art installations that correspond with the messaging around them. They are yours to look at and colour at your leisure.

While The Adaptable Warrior was written with Veterans in mind, it is also applicable to anyone who finds themselves in the darkness of physical and/or psychological trauma stabilization and recovery. It can be the dim bulb of hope brightening in the darkness of your crisis as you make the microscopic movements that support your healing journey.
