The Black Sword

Philip Albenze's life began in the most traumatic way, being born early and remaining in the NICU until he was healthy enough to go home with his parents. As a child, he struggled with asthma and poor health, yet was wrapped in the loving arms of his parents and family. While life was difficult as a sick child, he always could depend upon his family.

But Philip's life took a drastic turn after his time in the Army. With two traumatic experiences, he found himself drowning in alcohol addiction, an unhealthy diet, and in a toxic marriage. After a series of arrests, near-death experiences, and being shot, Philip looked towards his young son and found the motivation to turn his life around.

The Black Sword chronicles Philip's journey from a self-destructive lifestyle to becoming a bodybuilding champion and personal trainer, now helping others finding their path forward to a healthy lifestyle.
