The Darkroom Door

A locked conservatory. A deadly winter storm. And a photograph that should not exist.

Mara Ellery has chosen to make Stormglass House her home, but the house is far from finished with her. When local archivist Amelia Sloane is found dead inside the conservatory during a brutal storm, the room appears impossible to enter or escape. The door is locked, the windows are sealed, and the storm has erased every obvious trail.

Mara knows photographs can reveal what people try to hide. As a photographic conservator, she studies Amelia's final images and discovers that the timeline of the murder has been carefully altered. A hidden passage leads through the old house, while damaged records reveal a decades-old effort to erase the truth.

Then a restored glass negative shows Mara something far more personal.

Her father, Daniel Ellery, is inside Stormglass House in 1996.

And he is not alone.

As Mara follows a trail of missing photographs, altered records, family secrets, and a presence that may be changing the images themselves, she must uncover the truth before the past is erased for good.

The Darkroom Door is a suspenseful paranormal mystery featuring a haunted New England house, a locked-room murder, old photographs, historical secrets, a slow-burn romance, and a chilling family mystery.
