Jonathan Reeves, A CPA by profession, has successfully climbed the social ladder of 1970s Chicago, owning a prestigious accounting firm and leading a lonely and introspective life. Everything changes on an overnight train to Chicago. Jonathan meets Samuel, an elderly man traveling with a small, frail grandchild. She attracts him like a magnet and his rigid "bachelor's logic" begins to fail him. Now, he faces a choice: Will he retreat back to the safety of his quiet office? Or will he take a chance on a loving and meaningful family life with Grace?
