The Gospel of John, a 21-Week Study Workbook

If you have always wanted to understand the Gospel of John, this 21-week study puts a trusted teacher beside you for every chapter.

John carries the deepest things of Scripture in the simplest words. Many believers skim the famous verses or get lost in the long discourses of the upper room. This workbook gives you a clear weekly path through all 21 chapters, so you can read the whole of John with confidence.

Each week pairs one chapter of John with the warm, plain exposition of J.C. Ryle, the country pastor of thirty-eight years who became the first Bishop of Liverpool and whom Spurgeon called "the best man in the Church of England." Every week you will:

• Read In Ryle's Own Words, a full passage of Ryle's exposition printed inside, so the study is complete in one book
• Work through The Three Movements, turning every chapter toward your heart with a Doctrine to grasp, a Warning to heed, and a Comfort to keep
• Bring the chapter to the dinner table with For Families, a fifteen-minute version with something for younger children

Two short opening chapters show you how to use the study and why Ryle is the teacher beside you, so you learn how to read John before you begin. Every week follows the same clear rhythm, and you will always know where you are and what comes next.

By Week 21 you will be able to say plainly why Jesus came, what the cross accomplished, and what it means to be born again, and you will hold the assurance that eternal life is a present gift received by faith.

Whether you are a new believer meeting John for the first time, a parent leading family devotions, or a small-group leader who needs a ready 21-week plan, this study fits.
