The Holy Bible in Modern English - Library of Alexandria Edition

Genesis. The Psalms. The Gospels. Revelation. You know the names. Now read all 66 books without stopping to decode them.

How long has it been since you read the Bible straight through? And what would you notice if nothing stood between you and the text?

A verse on a wall gives you a glimpse. A sermon gives you someone else's reading. This Library of Alexandria edition gives you the whole Bible - in clear modern English, in the King James tradition.

ALL 66 BOOKS. OLD AND NEW TESTAMENTS. ONE READABLE VOLUME.

Genesis to Deuteronomy - begin at the beginning.

Creation, the patriarchs, the Exodus and the Law.

The histories and the prophets - follow the whole story.

Kings, exile and return, and the voices that warned and consoled.

Psalms, Proverbs and the wisdom books - read them as poetry.

Set to be read aloud or in silence.

The Gospels and Acts - meet the story at its centre.

Four accounts, then the first generation of the church.

The letters and Revelation - read to the last page.

From Romans to the final vision.

No archaic "thee-and-thou" barrier.

Keep your attention on the words themselves, at your own pace.
