His journey takes him from Pilgrim Baptist Church and Johnson C. Smith University to the United States Air Force, Kansas City, the Chicago Transit Authority, and more than twenty years of service in senior housing.
Jobe does not present himself as a perfect man. He tells the truth about missed opportunities, unfinished plans, poor decisions, and lessons learned the hard way. Looking back, however, he recognizes that even when he wandered, God continued to protect, correct, guide, and provide for him.
