The Makings of An Urban Gangster

Before he became a respected violence interrupter, cognitive behavior trainer, and community leader, Mark Anthony Sutton was known by another name "Big Preach", co-founder of one of California's largest Blood gangs.

In Makings of an Urban Gangsta, Sutton takes readers on an unfiltered journey through the streets of Pasadena, California, revealing the moments that shaped his life long before the headlines. Raised amid poverty, racial injustice, family trauma, gang warfare, and violence, he learned early that survival often came at a devastating cost. Every decision, every loss, and every lesson became another step toward a life few escape.

With remarkable honesty, Sutton shares the untold story behind the reputation; from the pain of watching his family struggle and losing loved ones to the choices that led to twenty-six years behind prison walls. But this is not just a story about gangs or incarceration. It is a story about accountability, redemption, and the power of transformation.

Today, the man once feared on the streets dedicates his life to preventing others from following the same path, proving that no past is beyond redemption and no life is too broken to be rebuilt.

Raw, compelling, and deeply inspiring, Makings of an Urban Gangsta is more than a memoir...it is a testimony of survival, a blueprint for change, and a powerful reminder that your past does not have to define your future.
