The Mixed Up Match Up

Karmen hated dating. The surface level conversations, the dressing to impress, the meaningless roster of boys in her phone.
It all seemed pointless.

The worst part? Her most recent date, Brock, won't leave her alone. No matter how many times Karmen blocked him, he kept coming back.

So, when Karmen's best friend, Isla, signed her up for a Halloween singles mixer, she protests. She wanted to give up and simply enjoy the life she had. After Isla relentlessly begged, Karmen eventually agreed.

But, when she showed up she saw the last person she wanted to.
Her own personal stalker. Brock.
How? She didn't know.
Why? She didn't care.
He was here, and she was in danger.

To keep him away, Karmen grabbed the first guy she could find. It just so happened that this was no random stranger. She was looking into the magically hypnotizing jade green eyes that couldn't belong to anyone but Griffin, the guy that had dismissed her not even a week ago at the fairgrounds.

Karmen swallowed her pride and asked Griffin for help to keep Brock away.
