This has been difficult to rewrite the sermons that my husband,
Chaplain Bertrand Griffin, preached; but it has also been a great joy.
He documented the Scriptures and made a brief outline of what he
wanted to say and preached from his notes.
When I approached him about it and his method of preaching,
he said his teachers taught him how to put two or three notes on a
small piece of paper and preach from the notes.
I told him, "They taught you well."
He said, "I never thought someone would come along and try to
rewrite my sermons. I would have done a better job of writing them."
"To write your books, as was demanded by your three children,
I had to write your sermons. But I got to know you better. One
good thing, you preached the Bible. You wrote these sermons; I just
rewrote them."
Wherever you are right now, you cannot begin to know how
Jesus loves you, but you can revel in it and trust God.
