The Sand Beyond Memory

Before civilisation, before scripture, before the first kings raised their names above the dust, the desert was already remembering.

Among the wandering tribes of the Red Basins, Saehur serves as a Teller, one trained to listen at sacred cairns and speak only what the land allows to be remembered. His people live by silence, drought, rare rain, and inherited warning. Beyond their paths stand the First Remnants, blackened structures older than tribal memory, feared by elders and avoided by all who wish to return unchanged.

Then a storm opens a hidden passage beneath a forbidden pyramid.

Drawn into the buried dark, Saehur finds the Spiral, a symbol carved into stone, dust, and vision, carrying memories from ages before human story began. The land speaks through tremor, heat, and dream, and what it gives him cannot be returned.

As his body, thoughts, and shadow begin to change, Saehur must choose whether to cling to the life he knows or answer the ancient presence rising beneath the dunes.
