The Third Pandemic Wave

Between alternative history and factual reality, supported by journalistic and professional
documentation, the dystopian story of the past COVID-19 pandemic, which began in December 2019,
following a secret operation carried out by the WHO in Southeast Asia. It should have been a harmless,
contained and controlled epidemic for the collection of real data on the population exposed to a viral
strain specifically selected to evaluate the effectiveness of national health systems after such
events. A new viral strain emerged from the mutated coronavirus, followed by pandemic waves due to
failure to comply with mandatory health regulations. The population would move away from the urban
centres in a mass exodus, applying a kind of urban distancing that would constitute the basis of
political, economic and social changes, while a "vaccine war" for global economic hegemony would
rage throughout the world, leading to the disappearance of the nation-state and the emergence of the
city-state. Their development into smart & digital cities, the planetary citizenship, the fact that
they would then accelerate our future towards a technological singularity, which, at his venerable age,
today is the protagonists he believed, would become a utopia of brotherhood, solidarity and
integration. In the confused state of his last days, in a blindingly white room of varnish and steel,
no longer the symbols and places of the religion he had grown up with, he would have wondered if the
man had taken the right final direction.
