We did not write this from a conference stage. We wrote it from the two rooms that still tell the truth when the slide deck is over: the counseling office and the elementary classroom.
One of us sits with the attachment-organized child, the burned-out caregiver, and the adult nervous system that has been asked to perform regulation it does not have recovery for. The other stands in an ESE-real classroom where coverage is thin, the clock is loud, and "just connect first" is not a staffing plan. Thirty-four years of that double vantage is not a brand story. It is the reason this house refuses a magic wand.
Most trauma-informed material fails in a predictable place. It gives the adult better language and then spends the adult's body. It treats calm as a performance the child is owed on demand. It confuses a posted expectation with a repaired return. It calls a quiet voice "regulated" while residual charge is still in the jaw, the shoulder, the pace of the sentence. The child reads the charge. The content of the speech is almost beside the point.
We work the other direction. The primary instrument is the adult nervous system. If the instrument is depleted, the strategy is Loop Fuel - more insight, more self-monitoring, more "Am I doing it right?" and less actual availability. That is why this book will keep returning to sequence rather than slogan:
Ahoj! Jsem Libroamiko, tvůj knižní rádce.
Jak ti můžu pomoct?
