There are many types of communication. The emergence of electronic media has changed the way we communicate with each other. This book investigates the use of electronic media to support interpersonal communication. The study builds upon the knowledge that electronic media constitutes a two-edge sword. On the one hand, it keeps people connected, and on the other hand, it causes people to feel less connected as they substitute electronic communications for face-to-face communication. The primary concerns raised by these findings indicate that the convenience offered by electronic media presents some inherit risk.
