A crowded hotel nightclub. A beautiful blonde woman. A handsome stranger dressed in gray.

And an inspector who happens to notice them both.

Inspector Miniska Marlowe is spending an ordinary Saturday night watching the crowd when she sees Martha Cucullo meet a mysterious man. The two disappear into the nightclub, and Miniska thinks little of it.
