What do you do when a nine-foot tall, three-eyed, winged being becomes your mentor? If you're Trigger Tantalus Taylor you listen, learn, practice acceptance of the incalculable, and become an expert at justifiable homicide. Justifiable if the goal is to save planet Earth from its most insidious inhabitant, Homo sapiens. Travis and his partners learn that humanity has hit the inevitable bottleneck of a self-absorbed sentient species and is at a critical juncture, either fix it quick (the justifiable part of the homicide) or become a non-corporeal wave function in resonance with the infinite universe (i.e., the rapture).
Gabe, the nine-footer, hopes that it's not too late to save the creations that he and his kind love as only a creator - or angel - can. Gabe's efforts two thousand years earlier were valiant and had enormous initial impact but humanity's penchant for immediate gratification and power (and the lack of social media) trumped and perverted that cause into a cult nightmare.
