Nobody gave me a playbook.

At 24, I proposed. At 26, my son was born. At 29, everything fell apart - and I found myself standing in Family Court with no lawyer, no plan, and no idea how to fight a system that assumed I was the problem before I opened my mouth.

I learned anyway. The hard way. Through 39 days of being kept from my son. Through a priority mail letter telling me the mother of my child was moving 719 miles away. Through legal fees that nearly broke me, arguments that nearly destroyed me, and a jealousy so dark it almost cost me everything.

TOGETHER APART is not a textbook. There are no "five easy steps" or communication worksheets. This is the book I wish someone had handed me at Year 1 - a guide built entirely from experience. Every chapter is anchored by a real story from my fourteen years of co-parenting, followed by the principle it taught me and what I see now, looking back.
