"Unfollow the Blueprint" written by debut author Kayla Boodoo is a 30 day poetry book combined with 30 different mental, physical, and productive wellness prompts that help guide every possible reader on a daily journey towards cleansing the mind of self doubt and unlocking your highest potential while literally unfollowing the negative blueprints of society:

Don't keep that 9-5 that clearly doesn't align with you, don't feel guilty for sometimes not being responsible for someone else's joy and looking out for your own peace, don't doom scroll and not be productive, and don't find cheap ways to secure yourself financially, etc. Sometimes it feels like we're sitting on a shoulder with a flat tire while we watch all the other cars zoom by and we're left behind, but really that's just an illusion that our human minds create based on our circumstances, so the only thing left to do is to reimagine our fate.

Notes from the author:

"I began writing this book in my final year of undergrad as a way to organize my thoughts and feelings, and to capture the quiet struggles of those closest to me. After going through school and juggling a few jobs, I realized, there are things I wish I had done differently. For example, making more friends, speaking up for more opportunities, and having taken more risks. There are dreams I want to chase, but at times, they feel foggy and far-fetched. That's why I wrote this book to reach anyone who's struggling to wake up and feel worthy of good things. I know the pressure of securing stability while trying to stay aligned with your purpose. It often feels like a choice between one or the other, when in truth, it's your vision and you get to define it. We should always honor the small victories we've made thus far, measuring ourselves not against others, but against the future selves we're growing into. I'd rather place my faith in hope, the kind that fuels passion projects and dreams rather than in the version of myself caught in self-doubt, chasing draining jobs and cheap opportunities. This book, in a way, is an organized diary rooted in my real feelings, and I'm sharing it with others who feel they've hit a point in life that feels unresolved. I'm not perfectly put together nor am I writing from a place of accomplishment, I'm writing from the version of myself who hit an obstacle and is slowly, actively, carving a way out."
