Traditional lDs like Driving Licenses, PAN cards, Ration cards, Voter IDs, Passports, and so on are mostly offline cards. These IDs reflect sometimes different personal information of same owner which is conflicting and creates doubts/confusion about the card holder. In India, the unique identification number therefore is argued to be considered for the possible impact on any proposed identity system; it would have on non-citizen residents. They make up a small yet significant cross section of the resident population in India and in many other such countries. This research study also proposes use of DNA technology with high security ID system using emerging technologies as an integrated approach. This proposed ID system can be integrated with IoT for access to substitute diverse types of traditional IDs.
