Villains Defeat

Jackson Blackwell, the Shadow Master, is back once again but this time... he's in trouble! And we're not talking about the manufactured trouble those lesser books use to lure in readers, no no. This is the, "Aw crap! It's time for Sophia to finally enact her vengeance!" kind of trouble.

After a long time at the top of the villainous mountain, a no-so stranger from Jackson's past comes calling and they only have one goal: to dethrone the Shadow Master. This would be successor uses Jackson's foibles, flaws, and overlooked plot points to attack our beloved villain on multiple fronts and across multiple worlds. How could they do this? Well, I'm sure it helps that Sophia has her thumb on scale.

Filled with betrayal, plots-within-plots, and a how-to guide for toppling an empire, it's clear that VILLAINS DEFEAT, the fourth installment in the highly lauded Shadow Master Saga, is riffing on the classic heist genre this time around. And what's a good heist without a few twists? Of course, that question forces us to ask two more. Does Jackson have what it takes to stay the god we know and love? And secondly... what's this book's title again?
