What the Apostles Believed

I BELIEVE...
Do you believe in God?
Do you believe in Jesus Christ?
Do you believe in the Holy Spirit?
The answers to these questions give testimony of our faith in God the Father Almighty, in His Son Jesus Christ our Lord and Saviour, in the power and presence of the Holy Spirit, and in the unity of the Church. Here the believer affirms the basic doctrines of Apostolic Christianity. In an age marked by theological uncertainty and confusion, it is necessary for Christians of all churches, ancient and modern, tradi tional and contemporary, to examine afresh the belief of the apostles. In these reflections, people and events from Church History draw us to a deeper awareness of the core of Christian beliefs.
