Fighting for survival against an alien race intent on their destruction, humans develop advanced battleships and fighting robots controlled by highly-trained pilots. Noriko Takaya (voice of Noriko Hidaka) dreams of becoming one of those pilots but she struggles at first to develop the necessary skills.
