Seminar paper from the year 2014 in the subject Art - History of Art, grade: 8 (2,3), , course: History of Art, language: Slovenian, abstract: Art analysis of Dante Gabriel Rossetti's "Ecce Ancilla Domini", or "The Annunciation".§§V svoji proseminarski nalogi bom predstavila zgodnje delo britanskega slikarja, pesnika in clana bratovscine Prerafaelitov Danteja Gabriela Rossettija Ecce Ancilla Domini, naslikano leta 1850. Rossetti je upodobil skozi zgodovino pogosto uporabljan motiv Oznanjenja, vendar je s svojo interpretacijo presekal tradicijo klasicnih svecanih upodobitev.§§Mojo pozornost je najprej pritegnila neobicajna upodobitev Marije, ki je skrcena in stisnjena ob steno, njen pogled je prezet s strahom, nezaupanjem. Njeno krhko, bledo telo, ce odmislimo svetniski sij, ne izzareva nikakrsne bozanskosti, ki bi bila primerna za mater Bozjega sina. V proseminarski nalogi bom poskusala najti razlog te nenavadne Rossettijeve upodobitve, osredotocila se bom na njegovo marijansko poezijo in razlozila njegovo dojemanje Marije Device ter njegov odnos do nje.
