The novel "Ladias Al -Fatena", a historical, prose novel, also called "The last of the Pharaohs", written by Ahmed Shawky in the year 1899, and its historical events revolve between Egypt and Greece, at the time of the Pharaohs, and Ahmed Shawky built the events of the novel on a basic pillar in the events, which is love And he made love in this novel as a starting point for its events, as love was the dominant idea of ​​the first novels in Arabic literature, and the novel "Ladias of the Fatna" is a clear example and an indirect description of the reality that concerns the country in the Pharaonic era, as Shawky wanted him to be, where The internal and local events played an important role in influencing Ahmed Shawky''s writings, and in directing his literary writings, especially those conflicts that were between the people and the leaders of the army on the one hand, and who assumed the position of "Khedive" and its advisers on the other hand, where Ahmed Shawky was brought through this novel. His implicit opinion on the conflict between the army, the throne and the authorities, and he intended in his narration this novel that Orabi made on Khedive Tawfiq, as he was unable to say the explicit words, so he spoke in his narration in the language of nods and symbols, and set examples from history.
